SOMA WARP

The Endless Blue is an ambient soundset built around shimmering pads, mysterious textures, endless keys, and atmospheric effects — and a spiritual successor to Deep Ocean, expanding the journey into a deeper, more immersive underwater world inspired by the ambient masterpiece Waiting for Cousteau by Jean-Michel Jarre.

This collection captures the same slow-moving, weightless motion — where melodies stretch into textures and textures unfolds into sonic worlds, but where Deep Ocean leaned on Omnisphere 2 samples, The Endless Blue is built entirely on a new sonic palette.

“The endless blue is an ambient collection originally built from op1 field waveforms and warp shimmering reverbs — deep, wide and  evolving.”

SOMA WARP
OP-1 Field
Behringer Pro 800

The foundation comes from FM tones recorded from the Teenage Engineering OP-1, transformed through the SOMA WARP with its liquid, shimmering reverb character. Fragile, glass-like layers are joined with drifting sawtooth clusters and unstable analogue tones from the Behringer Pro-800, shaped further through WARP’s Tape and Nyquist algorithms. Processed piano textures add a distant, human presence — like signals echoing through water.

These waveforms were paired with the new soundsources in Omnisphere 3. Especially the flutes but also the new "tape" pianos. No material from earlier Omnisphere versions is used; only Omnisphere 3 sources and original recordings form the core of this collection.
