J/800 Legends for Omnisphere 3 is a soundset built around the legendary Roland JD-800 — one of the most iconic digital synths of the early ’90s. This collection focuses entirely on the newly added JD-800 waveforms introduced in Omnisphere 3, expanded with deep analog-style filters and the new generation of Omnisphere effects.

Released in 1991, the JD-800 was Roland’s answer to the menu-driven era of the late ’80s — a digital synth with the soul of an analog. With its full front panel of sliders, lush waveforms, and hands-on workflow, it remains a timeless classic beloved by producers for its wide, shimmering pads, evolving textures and tactile control.

To capture all facets of the JD-800 and bring them into the Omnisphere 3 universe, the sounds in J/800 Legends were designed with three musical worlds in mind: modern, vintage analog, and ambient/cinematic.

From bright, cutting leads and tight basses, to warm vintage pads and expansive atmospheric textures — J/800 Legends combines the digital precision of the JD-800 with the rich analog filters and advanced modulation capabilities of Omnisphere 3.

J/800 Legends is an independent soundset not affiliated with or endorsed by Roland Corporation, and is entirely built using the Spectrasonics soundsources in Omnisphere 3.
